how long after a new rooster arrives will the eggs be fertile

hello
i have bought some hens that wasn't with a rooster. and just 8 days ago i put a rooster in, when will the eggs be fertile?

When you start seeing him mating with them. A couple of days later than that the eggs should be fertilised, you can crack them open to check.

i haven't seen him mount them yet but he is very scared and as soon as i come ih gets stressed

how many days would you say i should leave them untill i start collecting for hatch? its been 8 days since i got him so how many more?

How old are these birds, in months?

Be patient, observe behaviors, check yolks for fertility when opening them to eat.
