How long can they sit before incubating?

I know the answer to this is somewhere in this forum, but I can't seem to find it

. How many days can eggs sit before they HAVE to be put in an incubator and still be okay? What is the temp? I was thinking it was 7 or 14 days with temps around 65.....

its 7 days , after 10 days though for sure cause after then the fertility drops like crazy

and dont worry about the temp as long as its cool and around room temperature. yea 65 works.

well a chicken doesn't lay on her eggs until she's done laying all she wants to lay. If she only lays one a day and lays 10+ eggs you know the eggs were good for 10 days?

I've got 15 in the bator, keeping my fingers crossed they will all make it. Can't wait till hubby buys me a "real" bator that I don't have to babysit in 3 weeks
