Wondering how old they can be before I take the stones out...I don't want them to drown. Or do I not need them in a quail waterer?

Thanks in advance

i never used any in my quail waterer. if it were larger, i would, but mine is so small, they cannot get in there. after a week, you should be good to take them out. they have some coordination after a week and aren't so clumsy.

I'm With Shawn Here.... I Use The Actual Quail Water Fonts, And Dont Actually Need The Stones Or Use Them, But If You're Using A Regular Chick Waterer I'd Leave Them In For A Good Long Time--- It Wont Hurt Having Them In There And Can Only Help Prevent Accidents--- Before I Started Using Quail Waterers I Actually Lost Chicks, Not From Drowning.... They Would Fall Into The Water Trough Or Get Pushed In By A Brooder Mate And Get Wet. Then They Would Get Cold And Stressed And Pass Away From That.
