Got a problem and need sone advice please. Many times over many years I've hatched poultry but not had this before! My Muscovy hatched a few chicks 24hrs ago. There are still a few eggs un hatched from what I can see peeking in. Problem is what's she's hatched are mules so Muscovy X Cayuga. My Cayuga male had mated her but had hoped the Muscovy males sperm had fertilised the eggs instead. Now the issue. The other eggs COULD be pure Muscovy eggs. They won't hatch untill Wednesday then. Mums still not left the nest and the ducklings won't survive untill wed. Usually they'll leave the nest after a good 24hrs. Do I wait untill she leaves and hope it's soon to take the eggs and finish hatching? Or take them tonight (try after being attacked)!!
