How long you were engaged till you got married???

Dec. 1971 - My parents met on a blind date set up by my mom's older brother, who was my dad's commanding officer in the air force.

March 1972 - Got engaged. My dad was "slightly tipsy" (according to my mom).

August 1972 - Got married. Two days later my dad shipped out to Guam for 6 months.

They are still married, though I'm sure my mom is not happy now.

DBF and I have taken things quite a bit slower. We've been together for 5 1/2 years. Engaged, well... ZERO.

WE'RE NOT ENGAGED. AAAAAAaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!

We grew up 5 miles from each other and always knew who each other were, but he was younger than me. We ran into each other at a mutual friend's house in March of 2006. Started dating May 28, 2006. We knew after a short time that we wanted to get married, but didn't get engaged until we'd been together about 9 months. We got married 1 year and 4 months after we were engaged (we were married 2 years and 1 month after our first date). It will be 1 year this June!

We dated for about 2 years while in college before he proposed and we were engaged 8 months before we were married. It'll be 10 years this August.

We only dated 4 months before the engagement.

We dated almost five years. Our engagement was 54 weeks. Longest year of my life! We've been together for 10 years now.

We dated for 8 months, one day dh said lets get married and I said when and he said Sat.--We have been married for 36+yrs...

I only knew him two days before we started to date.. Twenty three after our marriage, I learn from a friend of his---that my dh said--"you see that blonde over there ? That's the girl I am gonna marry!" It was the third time dh had ever seen me..

Met DH on 24 Jun, he moved in with me mid July - we got engaged 14 Feb and married 23 Jun nearly a year to the day we met.

Married 20 years....

One of those "I just knew" situations..given I told him 2 weeks after we were seeing each other "We're going to get married you know..." and he did one of these

My husband, Will and I were engaged for a year. Nice engagement time, except for the fact that we became engaged only 6 months after we met.

The day after I met Will I went into my workplace and shared with our receptionist that," I had just met the man that I will marry." We both knew that we were meant to be together.

We have now been married almost 15 years. We have been through hardships- infertility and associated depression, but we remain best friends and confidants more so than anything else which I believe is why we have made it this far. Not to say the other parts of a relationship aren't significant

Oh geez lol Ummm we dated for 4 years, then got engaged for 5 months then married and now we have been together 8 years!
