How many duck eggs did you get today?

Pics
Got 3 regular eggs and 3 boing boing eggs. You know, the soft shell rubbery ones.

There are 5 Khakis definitely of laying age (about to be 6 months old) + 3 younger ones of which the eldest might have contributed one of the boings since 3+3 amounts to more than 5 :)

As they gain age and experience the ducks move from development to production (yes I'm in IT) in that the eggs have solid shells and are laid in the morning. Before that, it's experimental - the shell is often soft and the egg appears at any odd time during the day, even in the evening.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. At the moment I'm just happy that it seems the daily baseline of good fully formed, laid-on-schedule eggs has been uppped from 2 to 3 in the last few days. When we get to 4-5 eggs reliably per day that's it, we're golden. Any surplus goes to neighbors, family etc.
