Thanks, I know there are ducklings in the eggs as they are dark like they were in my incubator. She knows there is still life under her so she has not given up. Two hatched out on Tuesday of this week, then two more on Wednesday. I think one of them might be a Hinnie as it has a light beak and looks nothing like a Mallard. All of my other ducks had dark beaks except for my Muscovy Ducklings and Ducks when they got older. She may need to sit for 4 more days if they are. I am not sure how long it takes for a Hinnie to hatch. My Mule Ducks took well over 30 days and I finished them up in the house. I keep checking her so if she leaves the nest I will candle all of them and put any good ones in my incubator to see if I can save them. I only have 20 ducks right now, what a few more, Right?? LOLMy five runner girls all produced an egg yesterday.
However, when I walked up behind Jan, who was just chillin' by the baby pool, I noticed she had a tiny fairy egg beside her backside. Although she quickly jumped up, as to say, "It wasn't me," it had to be. The chickens don't lay white eggs, and other ducks weren't even close to it.
BTW, I just came across this thread and was unfamiliar with what a hinny is, so I had to Google it. Thanks for teaching me something, and I hope they hatch for you!
Amen to that for sure my Dear.Your a glutton for punishment![]()
