Interesting that yours are just molting now... Mine finished up weeks ago. No eggs yesterday. My 1 2013 hen I got this year seems to lay 3-4 hours later each day until she skips day 4. Someone is still teasing me by "playing" in the nest boxes, I found the golf ball kicked out onto the coop floor.

Lol they finally figured out that it wasn't an egg!

3 out of 6, plus one "squishy" egg.

One of my two-year-old red sex-links has been laying these soft-shelled eggs for three weeks now! The hens are healthy, fed layer feed and crushed oyster shells and crushed egg shells daily. I used to get one soft-shelled egg every once in a while, but now I've gotten 9 of them in the last 16 days! Any ideas why??
