Looks like the girls have hit the winter doldrums; only got 3/9 today. Can't complain too much though. They've been pretty good up until this past week.

Yes, sort of..........what is she going to do when it's minus 20 in January?? I think she could die come January. I want to get her, not sure how though...

She looks more brown to me ....the Doms are black and white barred. Could it be a barnyard mix? She is pretty. It would be nice if you could give her a home where she would be safer and could live a more 'chickenly' life. It is possible that she is a dom.....my screen may not be showing the true color. Either way I bet she would be happier if she was well cared for.

Yes, she is brown. She looks very much like my BB Red Game hen Bantam, but she is a bit bigger, but not by much, and her comb is different. When i googled Dom hen, up came "golden Dom". What is Dom short for? What is the complete name for that breed? And one lady who works at the feed store knew she was a hen and thought she might be a barnyard mix. She knew the idiots out back who are feeding her think she is a rooster...LOL

I do feel real bad for the little hen, I would love to catch her and give her a proper chicken home. I'll have to google ways to catch her.

It is possible that someone dumped her at the feed store. I know people dump cats and dogs there. The guys who feed her said she can fly really well, she goes way up into the tree to roost at night.

@minnehaha sorry, didn't see the thing....still new to BYC. Yes there's a drake in the picture. now there's 19 in the nest, and still nothing.
