hhhmmmm look's like a hen to me, sure she isn't able to hide them?
Me, hubby, daughter, & grandkids search the yard, which is completely closed in by a 6 ft solid fence, constantly. Could she go over the fence to lay somewhere? She is huge!

I have lots of tall ornamental grasses around the yard, a open bottom treehouse they find refuge under, a dog house across the yard they hide in if they hear or see something scary. I also have 2 pets ducks that babysit them. One being a huge jumbo pekin drake. His name is Hossy Boss! Lolit can keep them safe also with free ranging

She didnt like me in her space while dust bathing! Lol
She will be 33 weeks on Saturday & no eggs yet. Im hoping it is just the short days causing her not to lay, rather than her being a HE!
Can an australorp be used to make an olive egger? It looks like a hen but she does look like a black Australorps I couldn't see Copper. All 3 of my Blk Copper Marans started laying @22-24 wks, maybe she's hiding them somewhere?
How are things ? I am coping well think I knew what she wanted and had my chance to say goodbye and7 eggs today, but did not check the last coop. So, it could have been more.
