Girls hunkering down under coop to avoid wind and cold this morning. Was cloudy this morning, sun came out early afternoon. Girls were sun bathing when I let them out to forage.

Yesterday was a big day for us! We went 9/10! One of the girls is molting, so I assume that she didn't lay one. But they have kicked it into high gear as of late!

0 here getting a bit frustrated have several through molt still not laying others just old enough again not laying

Sunrise here at 6:33 - Sunset 4:35 standard time. We set the clocks back 1 hour last weekend.
It's 7:22am right now.
One broken egg under roost at 5am.
A cold front coming through, was 39F at 5am, 33 now and dropping through the day. Winds predicted to gust to 40mph, wind chills 0 to 20 Supposed to drop down to 13 degrees tonight, OUCH. The coldest this season.
I just looked at my girls through the window and they're hunkering down under the coop. Last weekend it was in the 70s. GC

our has turned wet and bone breaking my arthritis hate the rain... BF brought in 2 eggs this morning already one was green so one molt it done

3/5 yesterday.
Was 16F this morning, 30 now. Found one in nest at 5am, three more at 9.
Still breezy today, chickens come out from under coop for 5-10 minutes and go back when the breeze picks up. They're not used to this 40-50 degree drop from last weekend.
They were looking for protection from the wind when I let them out to forage yesterday.
It's nearly time to let them out. GC
