Was 16F this morning, 30 now. Found one in nest at 5am, three more at 9.
Still breezy today, chickens come out from under coop for 5-10 minutes and go back when the breeze picks up. They're not used to this 40-50 degree drop from last weekend.
They were looking for protection from the wind when I let them out to forage yesterday.

ended at 6 loaves plain white bread and a batch of dinner rolls here 3 egg yesterday 2 from main coop 1 from new consensus is that my auction 3 is the br 2 black sex links very dark brown egg every day but one from the new coop one so far this morning from the main coop
 
Only 9 eggs today, but had 14 yesterday and I think a dozen the day before that one.
Penny, last year I had several chickens that didn’t bother to resume laying eggs after their molt. I think they decided it was close enough to winter that they could quit and blame it on the lack of daylight!
I hope yours start laying again.
Hubby made me a drill powered feather plucker. I’m going to butcher a chicken tomorrow to see how it does before I try it out on the Thanksgiving Turkey.

We are off butchering these days Bf feels he did enough young does not want to anymore... do have two today seems to be the prize here three is a hot time was use to barred rock that layed no matter what now it is all EE, OE and Ameracauna appears I now have 2 sex link 1 br but only one sex link is laying
