I hope you didn't just jinx your dryer!!Much better quality than at Costco though.
With us it is the refrigerator. 6 year old Maytag (made by Whirlpool as are Amanas and I don't know home many other brands, probably Sears is included), looks like the compressor is gone. Decided to have them try to fix it. If that is it, it will be $400 less than buying the exact same refer again. I HATE to throw all the rest of the machine in the dump, what a waste. Last refrigerator was purchased in 1989, only the door seals were shot. That was back in the "they don't make them like they used to" days. And back then we said the same thing. I still have a clothes dryer from 1981 that works.
ZERO eggs again today.
14 eggs today and 1 dead hen this morning in the coop. She was hiding in the bottom of the coop late last night when I locked them up. I was going to check her out this morning. No signs of injury. I think she may just have been one of my older girls and her time was up.
I thought about doing an autopsy, but truely did not have time as we leave in the morning to head to my son's for his wedding on Wednesday. Today was spent running all over and this evening has been spent packing and checking the list to make sure we aren't forgetting anything.
I'll have to finish packing the van tomorrow.
Good for you !!I had a very old dryer break in my last house. As a woman of a certain age (let’s just say Medicare and leave it at that) with zero mechanical skills, I decided I wanted to fix it myself. Thanks, YouTube! I replaced the thermostat and some other thingy. My good luck, the YouTube guy was fixing my exact model! I spent about $65 on parts and tools.
I recommend this. I was so afraid it would go badly I put it off for 10 days after I had all the parts etc. but the need for clean, dry clothes was powerful incentive!
Back to your regularly scheduled egg discussion.
Sorry about the hen. That always is a bummer. And why is it always when we’re time crunched, stressed or not home. Makes a situation even more difficult.14 eggs today and 1 dead hen this morning in the coop. She was hiding in the bottom of the coop late last night when I locked them up.
