How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 7 from my 7 girls this morning, but one was laid onto the woodchips under the roost. It had a good shell on it but was dirty so I just tossed it away down by the woods. I have way too many eggs accumulating. Time to give some to the neighbors I guess.

1 egg yesterday but 4 out of 7 today. 2 of our 9mo old pullets are molting - a Wyandotte and the Welbar.

It's weird, I've noticed a lot of people saying that this year.

Ours are 1 now. The 2 Easter chicks started laying September last year. One stopped after 2 weeks the other then started and layed through till November then molted. The June 2 waited until end of January/start of February.

7 from 7 again this morning. Rewarded them with a big box of mixed produce trimmings and scraps from the grocery store. Not sure how willing they'll be to sample jalapeno peppers or raspberries or cilantro though.

One at the time I left for work. I’ll check again when I get home since the temperature will be around 15f I don’t want them to freeze if I can avoid it

6 eggs and its 21F with a real feel of 13F

2 baby pullet eggs! Barred Rock laid #2, and my Naked Neck laid her first! We will have eggs this winter! Seriously contemplating attaching a small unused coop to the run & adding 5 more chicks next spring to account for the winter lull that will no doubt occur again.
