Yup, I jinxed it (a little). Four pretty eggs today (instead of the regular 5)

But not for long. 4 eggs for a couple days but back up to 5 today, Martha, Edna and 3 browns. Thanks, ladies! I have 4 dozen now to use for holiday menus and feeding our visiting family members during their stay. [Our folks devour deviled eggs like candy!]

It rained off & on all day but they popped out to play in the open yard whenever it let up for a bit. Two ears of corn were today's treat - such fun to watch them flip & roll the ears around to get every last kernel! And some girls run back & forth from one ear to another -- just in case one's more delectable than the other? -- while others stick with one ear and feast till it's gone.
