How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

We get 10-12 a day from 12 Golden Comet hens.

1/4 yesterday and 2/4 today. Another green one (I said blue originally but its definitely green) from my ameraucana... nice to find an egg a day at least...

Gave away eggs for the first time yesterday as we really only eat eggs on weekends unless I'm cooking something that needs eggs..

We built nesting boxes but several of our girls lay in the area under the boxes! Go figure!

I have the very same problem. 5 nesting boxes, 12 pullets vying for the ONE spot UNDER the boxes. When one of them takes too long, the others stand around yelling at her to hurry up. It is ridiculous!!!

I have put all kinds of stuff in the boxes and they just will NOT use them. If you figure it out, would you let me know?????

And another three today from what I can tell at least 4 different hens laying out of 19 hoping the other 14 will follow suit. But with us getting 5 inches of snow and it being bitter cold not holding my breath.
