7 chicken eggs today

6 eggs from the control group

1 egg from the free range chickens

Temp 82 F degrees with some high winds in the afternoon

3 new EE chicks hatched this morning so it looks like the brooder will be getting full by the end of the month

Easter egger eggs have to be some of the easiest eggs to hatch and great to adjust your incubator with and some of the better eggs to hatch for those just starting out .....

I'm only getting eggs from one of this year's pullets. I've resorted to adding light to their building. I'm on the 4th day of that. They all look ready.

I'm only getting eggs from one of this year's pullets. I've resorted to adding light to their building. I'm on the 4th day of that. They all look ready.

My 2 pullets still look more pink than red, especially when compared to their age mate cockerels. So I'm trying to be patient. I guess I really don't have too much choice in that.
