How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

4 was my final count. Orpi decided not to lay again. This weather sucks!

for the last two weeks we been getting 2 to 3 a day from 13 hens. The four one year old red comets have been molting FOREVER it seems like , based on the size of the eggs we're getting 1 a day from them. We've been getting random much smaller eggs of new and different shades of brown so my new girls are finally starting to lay, just very sporadic. No sign of blue or really dark brown though.....unless I lucked up and got non blue egg EE's and non chocolate brown Cuckoo Marans.....sigh......THIS WEATHER SUCKS! Please Mr. Sunshine come back!! Even when I'm home and able to let them out to free range , they've been staying in the coop because of the rain!

6\12!!!!! YAY!!! The pullets are LAYING!!! 2 of them were EE too, this is the first day I have gotten any from my EE's and instead of 1, I got 2 for my first day wirh EE eggs! Both a lovely pink color!

Waded out to the coop this morning to give the girls their salad bowl. Found three eggs! And one of the them is small and dark! Obviously not a red comet, now who is it? Here's a picture of my egg haul for the last 4 days, you can just barely see the pencil dates I put on the eggs when I bring them in. The 3 newest ones are the wet looking ones in the back. Yep it's raining...AGAIN!
