5 eggs from the control group chickens

4 eggs from the from the free range chickens

the crows are getting there share and with all the wind the crows must be desperate to be flying

1 goose egg

I thing I will allow her to nest this year

Temp a freezing 72F degrees with high winds all day and it is snowing in the surrounding mountains so the temps could drop if the hinds start coming from the north as the winds are coming from the south at the moment

I am trying with my BCM's but they are only 14 months old right now and I would like to wait till they are 18 months old before matting them as I believe the chicks are much healthier from older chickens as I have gotten mail order eggs and found out people are selling eggs from chickens entirely to young and have no reason to be selling eggs from chickens that are entirely way too young oh sorry I am taking my madness where I should only be writing happy thoughts

I would like to see some more photos of your baby's as they grow

I have been keeping up with this thread..patiently waiting for my girls to lay! My last flock turned out to be all roos so i was sure i got hens this time! they are roughly 7-7 1/2 weeks old. I still have a way to go but i cant wait!!!!!
