How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

That is amazing!! What breeds do you have? I'm hoping that my older breeds will have long laying lives (kind of figure my 'layers' I got to get us going will peter out pretty quickly!) - I've already decided not to give them extra light in the winter or anything - just let them do thier natural thing!
I have a Red Star, Black Australorp, Barred Rock, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Lavender Orpingtons, and an old English Game Bantam. I don't supplement with light, either. I figure they need the rest over winter (which is only about 8 - 10 weeks, here). My OEGB just came off of a broody spell (about two/three weeks). -made us laugh, that at seven she still thought she needed to sit on eggs and be a mama. She was never a good broody (would only sit about three days) when she was young. Hoot!

10 from the main coop at 3pm 3 of 4 Silky their coop.
My 4 little Marans peeps are with their new Mom now my Black Silky went broody again
took all four out she lifted her skirt they ran under.. got out my sewing room

That is what I figure too - that letting them rest will obviously mean less eggs in the depths of winter (although some of mine are listed as being good winter layers) but will hopefully extend laying out the end! To be fair we are pretty far south so isn't like being somewhere very north dark wise!

Awww that is funny! I have read that older hens make great mama's!

Because you don’t have permission. LOL, am not sure what’s going on with that too, since I add them the way I’ve always been doing them, an icon from the app then upload. Sorry am going to try it the different way.

Poule might want post send message to a moderator if you can't I believe that
you cannot post photos
I've got no problems posting my own photos - I just can never see @Spartan22 photos - which are added as an attachment not inserted as a photo I'm not sure how that changes things but it just shows for me not having permissions when I try to click on the link with the attachment. Boo hoo!
