How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2 out of 6, same two pullets. One 73 grams the other 80 grams.
I have a theory about layer feed vs. higher protein all flock types. I’m wondering if the lower protein in the layer feeds are lower by design, to prevent very large eggs in the first laying cycle. By far most of the eggs in the grocery stores are Large. These two pullets have laid about 3 eggs that were Large, all the rest have been xlg to jumbo. And they’ve been laying daily for a couple of months!

Only 1 today. Our 3rd little green EE egg. The silly little pullets are scratching all the hay out of the nests. Maybe they think it needs to be changed out. Their wish is my command I suppose. They got fresh hay in all 4 nests. No excuse to hold on to those eggs now!
