How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

New record and new layer here today we got 5 eggs. My girls are 22 weeks old. All for olive Eggers are officially laying. The one we named olive finally laid her first egg. It was brown, the one we call cocoa lays green so I guess we’re really good at picking names lol. One of the Wyandotte is laying pretty regularly but the other 2 are only every few days. It won’t be long and we’ll be overrun with eggs.

We have 8 laying hens, but 7 almost laying pullets.

7 eggs today, but one was laid in the corner of the coop and eaten, and one is really small. Wondering if it’s a 1st egg from young 19 week pullet…

That's very possible. Tiny eggs are pretty common with young pullets.

8 out of 8 yesterday. Six were in the new coop, just one in the goat dog house, and one on the ground near the gate. Hopefully the ladies are getting used to the coop.

So, this morning, when the cockerel and lead pullet went off to the nest, middle pullet went with. After a short while, they all went back out to range, leaving two eggs in the nest. Middle is now laying.
