How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Three again today! Août has laid consistently for 15 days now, and I’m starting to wonder what the healthy limit is for consistent laying. This is probably fine for new layers, right?

A Pacific cyclone's supposed to "brush" the coast today & tomorrow with heavy rain & gusty winds up to 45 mph, hope we don't lose power.

We're getting 2-3" and 40-50 mph gusts as well tomorrow in New England. Stay safe and dry!

My Golden Comet laid 44 days in a row when she first started. Only took 1 day off when it dropped into the teens.

That's how most of my girls were, once they'd settled in laying. Still, she sounds like a champion layer!!

I totally understand the feeling of wanting them to take a break. The eggs are great, but I don't want them to burn out.

Same! It’s hard to know what it’s like to lay an egg everyday for months, but I can’t imagine it’s pleasant! Then again, eating worms and taking dust baths doesn’t sound good to me either, so maybe I shouldn’t judge!
