This morning I got 6 duck eggs but one cracked. My mama Cayuga eggs are more fragile than the others, I wonder if it’s age? They all get oyster shell..
In a side note I have given away 6 dozen eggs in my road side cooler, I’m almost through my surplus AND someone dropped of 20 cartons! How nice. They left their contact and I have met some new people which is fantastic since I have felt a little isolated and lonely since moving here.
I hereby dub this experiment a success
Cute duckies in an adorable coop! Does it get any better?My children passed the first 9 years of their childhood, next to a cow farm in France, and they often played there. However, the farmer did not have poultry in the farm. So when I decided to start my urban raising ducks adventure here in US, it was the first time when they experienced how the eggs are hatched and saw those fluffy ducklings hatching from eggs. Thus, for them, each eggs has potentially a duckling insideWe used to eat foie gras ... now they even don’t want to hear about.
