How many people in your neighborhood have poultry?

There are three of us in my immediate neighborhood. I think that is all. Good for egg business. We are considered country too, no restrictions except for house size.

I think only 2 now. There's a cow farm that has chickens, some other people have a small coop of them. There was a 3rd lady who had free-ranging, but she lived so close to the road they were always getting run over. The day that I went to go pick them up (she was going to give them to me for free), they had all "disappeared". I don't think she ever got any more, luckily.

Me and my neighbor about 7 houses down are the only one with chickens. I had close to 40 something yestersay but downsized to about 30. They have two Naked Neck hens. We aren't evn supposed to have them cause we live in the city

my nextdoor neighbor has chickens which lead to me falling in love with them and getting chickens lol and now the new neighbors 2 houses down said they love the sound of a rooster crowing in the morning and fresh eggs so they just started on their coop aaanndd across the neighborhood they have turkeys and quail, and none of us are allowed to keep poultry lol

We're in city limits. It's a relatively small town. There was one other person brooding hers in her yard, but she moved them to the next county on some land once they were feathered out. She's the same person I'm doing my meat order with. As far as actually getting the permit & raising them IN my yard, I was the first, but found out a couple months later that another gal 2 streets over got some as well just a couple weeks after I got mine.

So as far as I know, it's just the 2 of us, but it sounds like there may end up being many more on the horizon!!!

We live at the edge of a subdivision that I've dubbed a "homestead sub" b/c most residents live on 3-5 acre lots. We live on the edge and own 3 in, 3 out for a total of 6. But nearly everyone has a combination of poultry/garden/orchard/grape arbor/goats. We have poultry, garden & orchard. Our neighbors have poultry/garden/goats, etc... There are 4 roosters within 1/3 mile of one another.

The woman next door came over one morning to help me with fencing and another neighbor stopped by. The woman introduced herself to the other neighbor and asked if her goats blatting at feeding time bothered him. "I haven't heard any goats," he said. "All I hear is roosters."

The 4 roosters, BTW, are named Jake, Sam, Fred and Bill. I think they should have their own sitcom.

My neighbor and I split an order of chicks so I think it is only us two....I do hear a rooster from over near the farm-side of the woods. We live in a little 'sub-division' on 1.5-3 acre wooded lots in the middle of farm country. Granville Co., NC

We're in the middle of a city (100K) and have 2 houses on our block w/hens. I know there are at least 5 others in a 3 block radius, though I'm the only one with an illegal roo.

We're allowed up to 20 chickens or ducks, but I don't think many dare to have ducks in town, since most yards aren't big enough to have appropriate water AND a yard. I have a goldfish pond, but don't want to mess up 9 years' worth of water gardening, so I've stopped short of ducks.
