Quail are extremely easy to butcher.
I've watched many videos and I was thinking I could handle it. I just want to raise them for my family and dogs. I am fully plant based, which is weird I know... But I have wanted to do processing of my own animals all my life. Raising from eggs to meat amazes me

I am the biggest weenie out there when it comes to butchering and I can do it.
My problem is I can't do the hard part yet...the killing.

I'm the same way, I guess the only way I'll know if I can do it is to try it. I'm hatching chicks this month and plan on processing them the weekend of my birthday with my husband. He's just as big of a softy as me, so it should be interesting.

If I can do it, anyone can. I did my first without any help on Friday. The first batch of three my roommate held while I applied the shears. It's quick, and processing the bird is really quick too if you just peel the skin and feathers off.
It really is that quick. Skinning is so much quicker than plucking. This morning took me less than 5 minutes. Grab and into the cooler.
