How many Trick or Treaters are you getting? or got?

How very creepy! We have an awesome house like that in our neigborhood...they set out a table with a variety of king sized candy bars...it was always a rush to get out there first because some less honest children would get out there and take every candy bar on the table if you werent quick!

None. In 17 years we've only had 5 total. I guess we're too far out. It could also be the sight of my old truck and big ol' dog, thinking they've found hillbilly hell!

Growing up as kids trick or treating was kinda embarrassing for me...everyone knew us as "The kids who live down the road with the crazy shotgun guy"....the crazy shotgun guy was our uncle.

None here either, too far out. Makes me sad every Halloween because when we lived in town I loved passing out the candy, seeing all the kids come to the door and seeing most of the neighbor houses with a few decorations out and the porch light on for the kiddies. That's the ONLY thing I don't like about living in the boonies. I don't even get to take my own kids trick or treating anymore, they're to old now, so I just sit in my lazy chair and eat Halloween candy!

With an uncle like that, you could've named your price.

Trick-or-Treat night was last Thursday here.

Never any kids that come to our house. We have to go to the playgroud
to pass out candy. Probably only 60-70 kids, but they come around a few
times each, so it's hard to actually count. Still only two blocks in town.

But a lot of outlaying homes gather in the park and pass out treats.

Coolest treat in town was a hot-dog wagon. While Chick's wife was doing
the candy thing, Chick was cooking free hotdogs for everybody. Free dogs
and drinks...soda or juiceboxes. I have no ideal what that cost him.

I thought that was awesome nice of Chick and his wife.

We used firetrucks and firemen to block the streets for safety. Plus each
fireman was passing out candy as well.

This is one cool town to raise a child.

Haunted woods ended Saturday night. Supposed to close at 12:00, we ran to
almost 2 o'clock in the morning. People wouldn't stop coming. Don't have a final
count yet, but somewhere in the 1200 people range. A lot of fun, but a lot of
work. Always look forward to doing it, and always look forward to it being over.

Spook
