how much do you charge for your eggs?

I sell almost all of ours to my co-workers for $3/dozen. I'll get in at 7:45 in the morning and by 8:00 they're gone. Sometimes someone will be waiting by my door with their $3 in hand. We have 19 Gold Comets so we pretty much average 18 eggs/day. We'll use four or five ourselves so we still have a dozen to sell. On Mondays I'll show up with 3 dozen and they're history within minutes. We're adding another 17 Gold Comet pullets in the spring to make it an even 36 so we'll be able to cover the nut, as they say. Our Gals are organic and partially free range. They stay in their big run (a converted 18x21 carport during the day and if the weather's nice around dusk they get out for a half hour or so to range around. Their favorite time too, I might add.

I figure at $3/dozen I'll make up for the coop, birds, and food in the year 2525...

i sell mine for 25 centimos per egg (i live in Spain)
and the only person that has complained about the price changed her mind after seing how i had my chickens free ranging

I got $25 yesterday for fertile BW X W/BW blue Ameraucana hatching eggs.

Most of the time it's just $2 a dozen, $3 for 18.

I've been seriously considering starting to sell my eggs. I wonder though, do y'all sell them with an egg carton? in a baggie? just hand them over? Do you add on the price of the carton to the cost of the eggs?

I wanted to try and sell them at 25 cents each... that would be about $3 a dozen.. if I add the 50 cents for the carton... is that too much?

i sell white eggs for a dollar a dozen i make money 30 hens and 5 roos only cost me 1.20 a day feed n electricty added in that . n lots people actly give me more like 10 bucks for 5 dozen and so on

I have always fed organic, but because of the price of the feed and the number of chickens I have now it is not cost effective to only feed organic. I have split my hens and I have most on standard feed now. I will charge $3 per dozen for those eggs, for the eggs from the organically fed hens I will charge $4 per dozen (but I really won't have many of those to sell because those are going to be for my family).

I give a discount to people who bring me there old cartons. Half the time, they'll use the same ones over and over again. So everyone saves time, money & cartons. Just make sure the discount isn't too much. Gotta make sure that the cost of buying cartons is more than how much your discount is.
