How much should I be charging for eggs?

I am near DC and everything is expensive around here. My eggs are priced lower then the 'organic' eggs available. My husband is my delivery man and takes 5 - 7 dozen a week to work. They love them there at any price

Amy's Flock: I've been running into that problem too!! And gee-whiz people are shocked that they have to wait a few days... I WOULD like to have an egg or 2 for myself. LOL

I sell for $2.00/doz to "walk-ins" and $1.50/doz for the folks where hubby works. The difference is the folks at work keep me supplied in cartons (well beyond what I sell them) so they get discounts. If I went up to $3 I wouldn't have any business, we live in the country and seems like everyone has chickens running around.

There aren't many "backyard chicken fanciers" around here. The demand for my eggs is higher than the supply. Maybe I should build an addition to the coop and get some more chicks!!
