How much time do you really spend with your duck?

Do your reasearch online with them.
My wifi reaches my side yard, and my duck pen.
Mine too, but I have dogs who like to sit on the couch with me. ;)
I sit out there once in awhile and just watch them forage and such.

I have not really got anything done since the chickens and ducks have been outside. I don't watch tv until after 9. The dogs don't get their dinner until 10. I am even out there in the rain. I have tried to stay put in the house and maybe clean or something but then I look out the window and think they may need something....

I can tell you I have lost some weight with the back and forth, the cleaning, chasing roosters, etc.

An hour on a busy or cold day and up to maybe six in the warmer months when the kids and I are out all the time. I noticed recently that they can see me walking around in the kitchen and dining room since they’re at the back of the house. They’ll look at me and cock their head and quack and I wave. They can also see the children in the playroom because it’s all sliding glass doors to the yard. I often notice them resting on the bamboo doormats, watching the kids play. The chickens also frequently fly up onto our first floor windowsills to cluck at us, so I think the birds never feel very alone out there.

I was just out for over 2 hours tending to the run, coop, and duck house - Weeding and some other stuff. I let the ducks out the whole time. My ducks don't wander very far at all. They spent a lot of their free time in the shed or the run. Some of it foraging in the yard. Silly ducks.
Now my chickens - that is a totally different story. They probably would have made it to the woods, which is at least a quarter of mile behind my house, if I had not stopped them and rounded them up. :gig

Hello..Is your Duck a bit thin?..Could be the picture though..

My female khaki takes over the bucket. She sleeps in there.

I'm not sure how this is going to work in the winter. The bucket is heated but I have no clue how I'm filling it. It's way to heavy to carry from the house and add ice in there too.
