Need HELP ASAP
My female Quail decided to abandon her 2 eggs after her other 2 hatched, luckily I happen to have a incubator as I was wanting to hatch my own quails.
Well, one of the quails hatched (very cute) and I have left it in the incubator to keep it warm and wait for it to be big enough for me to move to another cage with a heat pack to keep it warm. However, my incubator is very small and and is only able to keep a small dish of water inside, however I don't want it falling in and drowning.
So I have been taking it out and dipping its beak in the dish of water to incourage it to drink. I was wondering how many times a day I should give it water, and do I need to also give it water through out the night?
Any help is appreciated.
Side note, I heard that button quails can eat seed as soon as the hatch, is that true?
