We have 3 hens that we bough on our local market, and since we are new to this, we would like to know how old are they..
Is there any tips?

Thanks for the help.

ummm -I wouldn't be to sure they are all hens:( the 2nd and 3rd photo looks like a roos....I would say 4 weeks old max....their stance is what what screams roo to me:( very pretty though:)

Two Roos?!???!

damn, my neighbors are so going to kill us...
In Portugal you can't buy chickens in stores or via Internet, you have to buy them in the local grocers market...and the guy told me that they were all hens... darn, o well let's just see how it goes.

Thanks for the help

We also noticed that the second one is always trying to keep the brooder "organized" so this could be another clue, right??

Just one last question, to taken outside the brooder to the coop, should I wait for another 4 weeks?
The weather here in Portugal now averages the 15ºC night and 30ªC day...

Thanks once again

Overall, they all are feathering I can see them in the morning stretching the wings and when we hold them we can see. we will try to take better photos tonight. There's no feathers in the belly tough
