Hi there, I just got done with my first quail incubation. We had a guy hatch late, last night. All eight others were born with normal feet. This last guy though, not so much. I was hoping by morning they would have spread out like the others did, but no cigar. I'm reading and seeing a to of videos saying this can be an easy fix, and to use vet wrap or bandaids/tape to flatten the toes down and attach to a piece of cardboard/heavy paper. I have attempted twice now, I don't know if it's because I'm scared of hurting him or if this is really a tedious task. Any recommendations to make this go along easier? Also, when trying to tape the foot I noticed he had a white crust patch stuck to his bum. He's still been able to use the bathroom though. I would hate to cull if not absolutely necessary. Any help would be wonderful, we're both stressed out right now, ha. I will post pictures at some point. He did come out of the shell a bit different than the others, he didn't seem as strong.
