Hopefully we can get some good ideas using our collective brain power on how to protect our birds from the hazardous smoke that's effecting a good deal of folks in the West of the U.S. right now.
I'm in Oregon and I've got 4 older pullets and 3, 6 weeks old chicks. I can bring the babies inside but, I'm a bit stumped on what to do with the big girls. I was thinking of hanging wet fabric over the ventilation in their coop. The coop is large enough for 10 birds (I have 4), the bedding is fresh and I've put a bunch of fresh aromatic herbs in it today as well. We're expected to have HAZARDOUS levels of smoke for the coming weekend.
Thanks for any and all of your ideas/advice.
