How to save eggs

Do you have a heat lamp? If you have a thermometer and a heat lamp, you can make a temporary incubator. Put the eggs in a bin with water in a container close to the eggs. Try to safely drape a towel over the fixture to keep the humidity in.

That is my experience as well.

However I can not imagine a mama hen picking up her brood by the nape of the neck, like a she cat will and transporting the little fluff balls to an elevated nest.
No, pretty sure that doesn't happen. The point I was trying to make was, if OP takes her babies, the hen is very likely not going to go back and sit on eggs right away. I think in her mind, that part of her job is done for the time being.

Thanks for everyones advice.

I have just got rid of the eggs as i didnt have a heat mat or incubator.

And my other hen who has 2 month old chicks-it wouldnt be fair on her to sit on some more eggs and im sure it doesnt work like that.

If i take her chicks off her im sure she will be very upset and so will they. So im not doing that ever.
Unless I had another broody but i dont.
So thanks again and yes im sure if i had the time and effort i could have saved a few eggs with a lamp and stuff but im going to work soon and its unlikey i would be there for them.

So i let nature take its course....
