The black Currant is from Glorie...I love it. I think it was $20 for a dessert size bottle and I can't wait to open it. They had great descriptions of their wines and they had a pumpkin but it was sold out and they would be getting more soon. We plan to go back though because there was a sample of a semi sweet riesling my husband wants to go back for at benmarl. Adair was so hot that I ended up walking down the steps to go use the port a potty and never going back in. The five tasters that did taste actually hated the wines. My sister wanted to wash her mouth out from the two reds and my husband agreed. Basically no one liked the taste or the place. I am sure that some people might like it, but we ran into a couple at all the places and basically we all agreed. The taster also had zero knowledge of the wine but was very friendly. Stoutridge was interesting. Beautiful property and a place to just sit and relax on the front porch. The gentleman that owns the place is SO smart but he comes off kinda snarky and just rubbed everyone wrong. I think there was around 20 people tasting while he told us about the wines and no one bought a single bottle. I felt kind of bad but you didn't get to choose what five wines you tasted so ...you tasted things you might not want to buy in the first place and then when you asked about others he basically said I have description cards to let you know what it will be like. In general the place was beautiful the knowledge he shares was awesome but I just got turned off personally. I do have to say that he had a wine there that tasted like bruschetta or fresh salsa, I believe it was the Cabernet Franc. It is a place to go once for sure, twice if you find something you really like. Do you like reds then? I am more of a white wine person but my husband fell in love with a red (he NEVER drinks red) over at Glorie...it was so shocking to me when he said he was buying some red wine. My girlfriend even raised her brow. Welcome Diane, I have one confirmed rooster already up on the boards here for adoption. I would try a poster at the local TSC in your area.
