HUGE Black snake in chicken coop. Can’t Get him out

OK update
Not exactly the greatest update. After on the ladder, trying to pull him down with the garden rake in him getting pissed all of a sudden he disappeared. I looked down and all the rafters everywhere. I don’t know how the hell he would’ve gotten out of there, but I cannot find him anywhere. And it’s not like he can hide that easily. I mean, I was crawling around in the bottom of the chicken coop. (Ewwww but whatever I have a washer and shower) I just can’t see how he got out unless he went through the door which my ladder was sticking out of because the awkward away the coop is set up to where he was
Hmmmm. Well that is strange but hopefully he is gone!!! Ugh. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.

If you see that snake I would just kill him... He is a big danger to your flock, and could bring diseases. He might have found a hole behind the rafters so I would check there. Do you have a extra coop for your hens? I would put them in a spare for a night or two, until you figure out if he is gone gone, or still there...

It makes no sense because I just went over the entire coop and pend it down because I’ve had things rip off the back of the eve that was rotten and get in there not too long ago and I’ve been making sure to be keeping an eye on it and I replaced a lot of things and I just can’t figure out how he would get in or out, but I’m about to go out there and check again. Trust me I’m not gonna get any sleep tonight. My hammock wasn’t ripped I would probably be sleeping on that because it’s right beside the chicken coop all night.

I looked up diy snake repellent. Clove & cinnamon oil. I don’t know about you but I don’t have those oils on hand.
As long as you are up, you might try mixing cloves with cinnamon. I don’t know if it would mix with oil, vegetable oil, but you might be able to make something to squirt around. If it is still in the coop that might make it leave.
Don’t know if this is the least bit helpful.

There’s nothing open except the eaves and the windows which are covered with quarter inch hardware cloth sandwich in between boards and on top of that on the windows there’s even lettuce for extra extra protection. I don’t understand where he could’ve gone, but yeah, don’t think there’s gonna be a lot of sleep. Yes, my rooster is a tough dude, but you can be as tough as you want sometimes and it just isn’t….
And I’m not scared of snakes well at least black snakes, but I’ve never seen one this huge! Yes, if I do finally get a hold of him as much as I hate to do it I might have to take him down.
I’m not sure if he’ll be back considering he didn’t even accomplish getting any eggs but too risky…..I’m glad I check under the nesting boxes and the edges of the interior rafter every single night before I close them up.

I’m very used to infusing oils so thank you for that tip. It may not do me much good tonight but any help for the future is awesome because apparently I need to learn to deter them. Because even if I spray it in there tonight, I can’t figure out how he would get out With the coop door closed. I’m just trying to figure out where he went. I think tomorrow I’m gonna start working on a deterrent in the morning but for now it to come back I don’t know how he got out so he might be able to get back.

Just did another check. The rooster is kind of getting irritated because I don’t even think they realize what was in there and I just keep waking them up by coming in there. Haha.
But still no sign of him again, but I know me and I’ll be out there every 30 to 60 minutes checking once again. And then working on deterrents tomorrow.
