Please start a new thread with your questions, just to be sure everyone will see it. I don't know any answers to help, I am too new at this and had a hard time with my own humidity/temps. I wouldnt want any of the seasoned posters to miss your questions.

Vamp-A-Billy Princess,

well?

I just got home from the store...had to run for dinner stuff, and came back to a bigger pip on two eggs..one is still the same...

happy mommy's day happy mommy's day!

Almost home...canLt wait to check the eggs. I am so afraid it isnt humid enough. I am so paranoid. I have a sponge in there and all the water trays full. Up til now it didn't need any water. It's really humid in Indiana. Oh God I hope I didn't mess them up. But I'd rather peel them out of a shell than drown them. I read the dry incubating article and that made me feel better. Aaaaah!

I was hoping for a pip...I have a CHICK! My mom checked it around 1 and said temp was fine. I checked about 3 and as soon as I opened the bathroom door I thought I heard cheeping. Wishful thinking I thought. I looked in the incubator and there is a little baby! Just hangin out in the corner. It was one that was in an egg carton. I have 2 other eggs with a place on there shell...not quite pipped all the way through yet. What a great Mothers Day Gift! It is somesort of at least part silkie it has black skin and yellow fuzz. Hooray! I hope the others come early too so it isn't lonely in there. It's day 19 counting setting day as 0. The chick is active and looks very healthy and perfect sized. I am so happy!
