hung a cabbage in the coop

Yeah, mine don't seem to like cabbage either. Throw some kale or collard greens and it's ON like Donkey Kong! They turned their noses up at the alfalfa pellets. Tried soaking them in water, same reaction. What do I do with the 50lbs I bought???

Five DAYS??? Every head of cabbage I hang is DEVOURED that same day!! They act like there's no tomorrow. A simple screw eye bolt into the heart of the cabbage @ head height, suspended from a cord is what I use, then simply, GETOUTATHEWAY!!!!

I have two of those tiny little feed balls w/the dinky little bell on the bottom.

(barely big enough for a small apple, much less a cabbage head) I'd GIVE them to the next person that came by wanting them-Useless!

I would soak them.. and then mix them in with some food that they like.. like warm oatmeal? Cooked grits?? Noodles?? ANything...

Wow 5 days for 20 chickens? I have 6 girls and when I hang a head of cabbage in there for them I'm lucky if it lasts one day!

Maybe the chickens that won't eat cabbage have not had one opened for them.

A large tightly wrapped cabbage is intimidating.

Try peeling the outer leaves but leave them attached at the base.

Once they get a taste of eating the opened leaves they will bite into the tight head and finish it off.
