This past weekend was opening weekend in our area. Our group got our first bear of the season, and took it as a last wish of our mentor who died in June. It was for his grandson, and was his first big game animal. I had my first dog at the tree too, which made it doubly exciting for me. I'm the woman in the white t-shirt.

Muzzleloader season starts today for deer here in Kansas. I went to buy my tag, and the computer they use to sell them was down, so I didn't get it. I guess I can get it online, but I just haven't gotten it done yet. I need to get some work done outside, then I'll see about getting it.

It's beautiful out today! Wish I was sitting out in the woods!

Hunting season for me starts next Monday the 10th. I have my elk, deer, bear, Mt lion and wolf tags. I so bad want a wolf! You can use any weapon of choice.

Just went for our families annul hunting trip in the mountains. We took 5/8 horses with us. Our friends from Manaioba came out, our friends from southern Alberta came out. I got a new gun to get all bloody, a knife as well. I got my tags (White tail) and a elk, Parents got whitetail and elk as well. But it's a bit to warm for the deer to be walking about. We only got one deer.

Oh and just 30 miles from the house a young man made a big mistake that cost another his life.
