We are staying safe...but need a few giggles to make it through this sh@t.

Nope. Tropical Storm Claudette dropped 43 inches of rain in one day on Alvin Texas in 1979. An estimated 10,000 people were killed in Galveston during a hurricane in 1900.

This one is far from over.

Something I just saw on the Weather Channel that is that if your house is flooding -- shut off the main power breaker -- don't stand in the water if it's approaching the level of your electrical outlets. Great advice!

had to jump off and fillout an application for a new job, just finished, would rather trade places, and be in a canoe with 6 hens, it was a pain in my ass. Anyway just wanted to say hope everyone sleeps well and stays safe. Will be looking in to see how everyone is doing tomorrow.

I made it through the night, again!


My city is screwed! Rivers are forecast to crest tomorrow, which is going to flood hundreds of thousands of more people out of their homes!!

Glad to hear from you. Watching KHOU live cast and just praying for you, your city and your state.
So many without electricity have no way to know what is coming without your local police going into areas due to crest to warn them to get out.

My chickens are ok, they look like drowned rats but they are ok.
I got 3/8 eggs the day before and yesterday I ended up getting 5/8 eggs. They are not happy having to stay locked up but they have plenty of room and it's safer to keep them locked up for now.
