leghorns are one of the earliest to lay eggs--16 to 20 weeks old normally.Totally off topic, I know.
I got a leghorn with red everywhere and 2 fingers fit between the butt bones. At what age do the over achievers start laying treasure (rent)? I'm not saying the age because I don't want to prejudice your answer. This is a leghorn and I'm guessing different from the heritage BR that aren't even thinking of turning red.
If it was a single bird, I'd think it was a fluke. It isn't. Got 3 of them like this.
We are going into lower daylight hours but if she starts before light goes below 12 hours a day, she will likely keep laying all winter
