I went to a family get-together yesterday.
I might have been forced to try a 'special' drink by the hostess.
Been feeling like death all day.

We made some quail poppers.

Grill the quail legs then 'peeled' them.
Cut the jalapeños in half and stuffed them with the quail and some Monterey Jack cheese then wrapped them in bacon and put them on the grill.
Yum.


The hostess is from Brazil so we were drinking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cachaça
with fresh pineapple juice.
 
Kiki, quail poppers sound wonderful. Just my kind of food!
I wasn't thinking.
I got them all wrapped up and ready to go on the grill (raw whole quail legs on the jalapeños)

DH killed himself laughing at me and made me unwrap them all so he could cook the quail first.

Sounds like it would have been a good idea to me. You know, like a quail lollypop, perfect finger food! :highfive:

We don't have peeps in the new areas of Cali that have caught fire in the last day or 2, do we?

I'm not sure if we have any from Cali in the thread or not.
