This smells like something I've smelled before, but I'm trying not to jump to conclusions. I'd rather wait until real facts are available and then judge. It is apparent to me that many are hurting needlessly, what I can't answer is why? Smells like a political agenda, but I have no idea whose. And again I have no facts, so I could be totally wrong.
I highly doubt you are wrong.
Just saying.

For what its worth, said video... Well I'm guilty. After 36 hours of work living on Adrenalin we retired to the bar, drank heavily and planned out the next round of activity. I'm sure to the outside observer it looked like we were partying, rather than drowning our sorrows and trying to get ready for the next day.

I'll take a guess, 'disaster capitalism'. Investment opportunities. They want people to leave the island ...
Sorry, I'm a cynic. :(

I'm not thinking you're wrong. But I just don't know. Everything I look at says 2+2=5. It's troubling. there are just too many forces in play to make any kind of call.

True, gov't employees on detail work long shifts and hit the bar to decompress. I too am guilty. What bothers me is her claim that supplies and services are not reaching the interior.

Interesting, if we're not on the same page then at least we're reading from the same book. I'll look forward to your further thoughts on this.

I know the resources there are able to move much more quickly than they are and to do things no one thought possible. yet its not happening. why? There's an impediment that we are not privy to. And yes its likely politically motivated.
X2 on the movement of resources, no excuse for lack of water, etc one month out.
Money is all over this, the prev debt, costs to rebuild ( for whom? residents or new investors?) how it will impact the budget agenda ... You are right, too many pieces to the puzzle, but it stinks. Haven't heard any more about what the general they put in charge has accomplished. US response to PR is an international embarrassment, IMO.

Signing out for the eve soon, see y'all tomorrow:frow
