See this one important step of making tamales:

There is a smooth and a rough side to the cornhusk. You want to fill the cornhusk on the smooth side.

Can you take a wild guess who didn't pay attention to this one step!

I won't tell DD, as she would be begging for recipe, (I can't fry chicken and my tamales come out like mush) Wish I could make the though. :drool

how do you start your fry on chicken use hot sizzling oil but first good egg wash cup of flour per 4 pieces in a bag add spices we like Johnny's seasoning, garlic, basil and red pepper first in eggs wash then flour bag into sizzling oil brown take out as browned, all goes back in and cook slow once browned

never made tamales :oops:
