There was a midsized city tree at the lady's house where we picked up the chickens.
It had a BUNCH of chickens roosting in it (it looked like a chicken Christmas tree.). I want to go back and get any hens that maybe in the tree. I can't decide about the roosters, I would have to cull them or bring them back to the tree after things settle down.
OH crap. first feeder band, pouring rain and intense blowing wind

They’re gonna be sopping wet & blow right outta that tree. 😢

But if I don't do get them, I will feel terrible if they get blown out of the tree and onto the side of the house across the street. :idunno

Seriously, we will be fine, I have been through a few hurricanes in my lifetime. I have had to be rescued by boat. Once we could not reach my Grandma, 'cause there were hot wires all over the street dancing and sparking and we had to leave her. My first house was a duplex and I lived downstairs and told my tenants to leave so the house wouldn't fall on them. (BS). I just wanted to be able to go live upstairs if I had to. We had a neighbor in a one store house (older folks). She had cancer (advanced stage) and they refused to leave, so we brought our boat inside the living room and tied a rope from our porch to their porch, in case the water came up we could get them to the upstairs of our house. Sorry, I am rambling on. We will be fine. We seem crazy, but we are always prepared for whatever comes our way. Sometimes we make it by the skin of our teeth, but we make it. Thanks for caring :hugs

DD (the smart one of us) went to Arkansas with her dorm mates (ROAD TRIP! 🥳🥴 ).
DWs battening hatches and cuddling her new found chickens by now.
I'm on my Covid Unit in various mask and a Tyveck onesie. About this time every day I panic, thinking I finally caught it. Then I realize I'm sweating like this because of the suit.
On the bright side I'm watching traffic in the river from the 15th floor and the workload is light today.
