But if I don't do get them, I will feel terrible if they get blown out of the tree and onto the side of the house across the street. :idunno

Seriously, we will be fine, I have been through a few hurricanes in my lifetime. I have had to be rescued by boat. Once we could not reach my Grandma, 'cause there were hot wires all over the street dancing and sparking and we had to leave her. My first house was a duplex and I lived downstairs and told my tenants to leave so the house wouldn't fall on them. (BS). I just wanted to be able to go live upstairs if I had to. We had a neighbor in a one store house (older folks). She had cancer (advanced stage) and they refused to leave, so we brought our boat inside the living room and tied a rope from our porch to their porch, in case the water came up we could get them to the upstairs of our house. Sorry, I am rambling on. We will be fine. We seem crazy, but we are always prepared for whatever comes our way. Sometimes we make it by the skin of our teeth, but we make it. Thanks for caring :hugs
Great stories! 😍 I love hearing them. Life & local, natural disasters are so different everywhere you go. It’s absolutely fascinating!

Hows it going today? I haven’t checked your weather yet, but I assume you’re being hammered. 😕

you are correct. I didn't think we'd get that much, that quick, this early. I emptied the gauge before I left and had 2" when I returned. I got misted on in town, but missed the deluge at the house.
Lol. It rained hard here for 20 minutes. Everything is already dry.
