Good, perhaps this will be a little empowering for you, instead of feeling like you had no idea what was going on.
I was on phone constantly with family that still had tv service so I won't complete in the dark but now I am actually able to SEE what is gong on.
It's just sad.

I've been trying to keep up with the news but only have my phone and YouTube. I am truly heartbroken for everyone there. Wish I could help.
Will continue to pray for you all! :hugs

From Mama Runner's other thread

I just got a call from work. I am walking out the door to head to the base and be on way towards Huston. All the babies will be well looked after by hubby, family and neijbors.

If you are in Texas. All of us are praying for you. If you need help or rescue please wear bright colors if you can and get up on your roof!!! If you have a second floor hang something bright out of your window of the room you are in. I need to run out the door. Can someone please copy and paste to Hurricane Three. I need to run.

Prayers to all of you in Harvey's reach. :hugs

Shocked, sad, angry, helpless, disbelief, sick to my stomach, felt it over and over again until we put together a game plan to rebuild our house and our lives in 2005. It will be very hard, but you can get through it. Just focus on staying safe right now. In time you can make the decisions that are best for you and your family. In the mean time you will have lots of offers of help and support from all sorts of people you don't even know yet. Take the help they offer, knowing you would or already have at some point in your life, offered and/or given the same help to others. You may not have realized how much you have helped someone with some little thing you did that ment a whole lot to them.

You're welcome!

I watched his speech and what I got from it was:
  • Stay in your house
  • If lower level becomes uninhabitable, go to roof, do not go to attic unless there is a way out.
  • Do not call 911 unless it's an emergency
  • Do not drive anywhere
  • Do not walk anywhere
If you retreat to the the attic. Take granny hatchet with you!
