Hey, rjohns39, are you going to get rain from this thing?
I suspect yes, but they are predicting its going to turn west and hit Memphis rather than me. I'm in the outer bands now--but no rain yet and no winds to speak of. Barometer is falling like a rock 63 degrees and 83% humidity. Winds out of the south.

Just to let everyone know....

I received email from @JRNash a few minutes ago.

He is alive and well along with his family.

He said he was wiped out and lost most of his birds (this is from Harvey).

But his family is is doing well and they are ok.

And he's working!

:hugs:wee:woot :thumbsup
(and I also posted this on the century of Turkey talk thread)

I'm new to this chicken thing and this group but I just wanted to share a little of myself. I live in Tampa, FL and I started building my first coop a couple of weeks ago. I think y'all call what I have as chicken fever. This weekend as hurricane Irma was approaching I was out early in the mornings trying to finish before the storm. Well I heard all of the power tools, saws and drill drivers going all over the neighborhood so I could only assume everyone was building chicken coops too. Well at least I wasn't the only one in the neighborhood that didn't board up all of the windows.
