We had pretty much the same problems with cell towers in 2005, what worked best then was texting. Don't know if this will help 12 years later

Yes probably so because a few weeks ago I was having a hard time using my cell for calls or internet. Texting worked fine.

Weather Channel did an update on Hurricane Jose, Cat 2, 100 mph winds, speed 12

The guy showed a forecast map and emphasized that the European model was the best indicator of what Hurricane Irma would do.

That said.....

He stated the storm will "meander" for a couple of days before it goes wherever.

The European model shows Hurricane possibly hitting Florida mid-East Coast.

Our model shows it going more N-Nw where it could impact the East Coast - or go out to sea.

He said this storm still bears watching.

Alright, I am ready to start praying a novena, that is the path hurricane Betsy took in 1965. Direct hit to NOLA. Ugh I guess it makes sense since we have missed both Harvey and Irma and we are right in the middle. Going to start novena tonight!! It needs to disappear in the Atlantic!!!

Love Conch, had it fresh in chowder and fritters in the Keys. I'm a native Floridian born in Broward Co Hosp. but raised up north since age 1. My parents talked about going through hurricanes playing cards with the neighbors in someones boarded up home. Hoping all our members and friends get thru this season with minimal loss!
